Guests can choose between daily two or four-hour hikes each day, with modifications available to suit any fitness level. Trails vary from shaded single-tracks to open, wider trails. These mountain routes include uphills, downhills, and flat sections, featuring 1,500–2,400 feet of elevation gain and brief climbs reaching an 18% grade.

In Malibu, some are single-track lanes, others are wider fire trails. Some have shade, others have no coverage. As we are in the mountains, we have uphills, downhills, and flats. The steepest climbs are almost 18% grade, but those last for about 1 mile. Some inclines last longer, but aren’t as steep. We typically gain between 1,500-2,400 feet in elevation over the entire hike.

In Hudson Valley, guests have the opportunity to explore nearly 45,000 acres of hiking in the area. Set between multiple state parks, with one just steps from the property, the area offers many well-maintained and marked paths with varying difficulty levels and some rocky terrain.

Malibu enjoys a temperate, moderate climate. From fall through early spring, daytime temperatures range from the mid-40s to mid-70s, with nights dipping into the 40s. Summer and early fall see highs in the 90s and warmer evenings in the 60s.

Hudson Valley has four distinct seasons. Spring is mild (40s–60s), while summers reach into the 80s. Fall features crisp weather and vibrant foliage, and winters can be chilly, ranging from the low 20s to mid-30s. Hikes proceed in rain or snow as long as conditions are safe. Otherwise, the experience moves indoors with alternative fitness options like spin and yoga.
